summer activity
Lysgårdsbakkene Jumping facility
Lysgårdsbakkene Jumping facility was built for the Lillehammer Olympics in 1994, and has become the hallmark of Lillehammer. From the slope in Lysgårdsbakkene, you can take the chairlift up to the tower at the top of the largest ski jump. From the outdoor terrace in the tower, you can enjoy Lillehammer’s best view and watch the summer jumping that takes place in the facility.
If you choose to take the chairlift back down instead of walking, you’ll experience the floating feeling the jumpers have when they go down. The fittest amongst us are more than welcome to walk the 936 steps up or down.
